Wheel Yoga

Wheel Yoga, also known as Chakrasana or Urdhva Dhanurasana, is a dynamic and invigorating yoga pose that involves creating a bridge-like shape with the body. The pose resembles an upward-facing wheel, with the arms and legs supporting the arch of the back. Wheel Yoga is not only a powerful backbend but also an excellent full-body strengthener and heart opener.

To practice Wheel Yoga, one begins by lying on the back with feet hip-width apart and hands placed beside the head, fingers pointing toward the shoulders. With a strong foundation in the feet and hands, the yogi lifts the hips toward the ceiling, pressing into the hands to arch the back and open the chest. This pose engages the legs, core, arms, and back muscles, creating a beautiful and expansive shape that encourages flexibility and strength.

Wheel Yoga is celebrated for its numerous benefits. Physically, it stretches and strengthens the spine, shoulders, arms, and legs. It stimulates the digestive organs and helps improve posture.
